This Random Fan In Nashville For The NHL Draft Sure Knows A Shit Ton About The Chicago Blackhawks
I gotta be honest here, the moment buddy over here name dropped "Andreas Athanasiou", I knew he was more than just a casual. Athanasiou is a pretty solid player, don't get me wrong. But you need to watch a decent amount of hockey to know who he is. You need to watch an even more ridiculous amount of hockey to be able to pronounce his last name correctly on the first try like that. But unless you were a Red Wings fan in 2018-19, or the Hawks general manager right now, I just can't see anybody name dropping Athanasiou off the top of their head like that.
So credit to Kyle from Chicago for that one. Guy knows his shit about the league. Probably wouldn't make a half bad general manager.
By the way--I think it's absolute bullshit that general managers in the league can just be some random good looking dude these days. Looks like a dude who just wracked up 3 kills during a bachelor party in NashVegas, not a guy who is making two picks in the first round of the NHL Draft. It's bad enough that there's going to be a kid playing in the NHL next season who was born in 2005. But the fact that GMs are man rockets now? Brutal.
