DOMINGO GERMAN THROWS THE 24TH PERFECT GAME IN BASEBALL HISTORY

What in God's Green Earth just happened??? Not one Oakland A reached base Wednesday night. I mean Domingo German gave up 17 runs in his last two starts coming into tonight and just tossed the 24th perfect game in baseball history like it was nobody's business. What a moment. So fucking cool.

Always one or two plays you look back on that saved the perfecto. Rizzo's backhand stop here in the 5th was certainly one of them.

Obviously all the pressure is on the pitcher here as he gets closer and closer to immortality, but think about the fielders? One errant throw and it's on you. One misplay taking a ball on an extra hop and it's done. My heart would be racing so fast as a fielder in that 9th inning I'd probably die of a heart attack before the final out.

What was crazy here is the Yankees wouldn't stop scoring in the top of the 9th. Josh Donaldson decided to actually drive in some runs in a Yankees win of all the times. Felt like Domingo was gonna be the victim of an ice job for sure, but he went out there in the bottom half of the 9th and went on full cruise control to complete it.

No hitters have definitely lost their luster over the years, but perfect games are some of the coolest phenomenons in sports. Only 24 in the 130+ year history of the sport. The last one came from the right arm of Felix Hernandez in 2012. Domingo joins the exclusive fraternity of perfectos. Unbelievable. I don't care if it came against the A's, a perfect game is a perfect game.

What the fuck is this Yankee season? Is it too much to use this as the turning point and go on a run?

P.S. This happening the first night I'm in Aruba for a family wedding is something else. I'm out here at the hotel bar with my laptop like an asshole trying to avoid a Manzo situation. I might have to move down here permanently.
