Hot Start: Boubacar Kamara Was Forced To Leave His Honeymoon Early To Play For France National Team, Plays A Whopping 0 Minutes

[Source] - ASTON VILLA star Boubacar Kamara cut short his honeymoon to join up with the France squad only to not play.

The defensive midfielder was a late call-up to the Les Bleus team after Adrien Rabiot withdrew injured.

France played Euro 2024 qualifiers versus Gibraltar and Greece, which they won 3-0 and 1-0.

However, it was disaster for Kamara, who was an unused substitute in both matches.

Listen, I understand managers and coaches have to make tough decisions. But come on, man. You're playing Gibaltar in a Euro qualifier and couldn't find like 15 minutes for Kamara to get on the field? I also know that French manager Didier Deschamps is lucky that Kamara's new wife didn't square up to fight him. Because she had to leave the honeymoon early too.

You know what's going to be held over Kamara's head in every single fight? How they had to leave their honeymoon just so she could watch him sit on the bench. He's played in 3 matches for France before and yeah it's still awesome to be called up to national team action. But this is a nightmare scenario.

Anyone who is married and been on a honeymoon knows exactly what I'm talking about here. That's the one week(ish) that is supposed to be easy. You just sit around a resort pool or whatever, drink all day, talk to people who were married on the same day as you for a couple minutes and then pass out at night. It's a delight. Highly recommend trips like that.

Kamra has to beg and plead with Deschamps to play a few minutes during these. That's the professional thing to do. Like, hey, we're going to be winning, can I get a few minutes of action so I can reason with my wife about how it was worth it? No, just practice and train and sit there with a pinnie on? Oh okay, cool. That'll go over well.

Congrats, go take another honeymoon and avoid calls from Deschamps there for a little bit.
