Still Not A Bit: Nikola Jokic Lost The Damn NBA Finals MVP Trophy The Very First Night He Had It

[Source] - Andrews: "I've got to tell you, I've done a couple of these Finals MVP interviews. You're the first one to come in without the trophy. Where is it?"

Jokić: "I really don't know. I left it in Sparky's room and it's not there anymore. So I don't know, but hopefully it can arrive in my house."

Alright, I love Nikola Jokic but I'm gonna need him to care just the slightest here. I can't have every story being him totally not caring. I know, I know, it's enjoyable and funny. But come on. You're one of the greatest players we've ever seen in this game. That's not hyperbole, he's that good. He's that unique of a player. It's okay to care about something, especially when that something is the Finals MVP Trophy!

Then again this isn't the first trophy he lost:

I'm sure he doesn't care about the trophy itself because it'll probably remind him he isn't back in Serbia watching his horses race. That's my kind of guy. I need to take Jokic to Keeneland some time. That might be the most outrageous thing I've ever typed so let me clarify. I need to somehow bump into Jokic at Keeneland sometime and spend roughly 3 seconds talking horses with him.

Again, I don't think is a bit in the slightest. I don't think him looking pissed off about missing his horse race is a bit. I don't think him saying he just wanted to go home was a bit. It's just who he is:

We all know people like this. The people who don't go out, say they hate crowded places even if it's hanging out in an apartment. They just want to sit around and stay in their world. Nothing wrong with it, they just aren't a top-1 player in the NBA right now. My only complaint about this all is Jokic has a small child. You have a reason to have a night out. Always and I mean always say yes to that.
