Noted Champion Of The Common Man David Portnoy Single-Handedly Ended A Union Strike And Handed An Evil Corporate Goon A Huge Loss Today

Dave Portnoy has done many things in his career. Handed out newspapers. Built a $400 million media empire brick-by-brick. Gave some of the biggest stars in media their first gig. Saved countless small businesses during Covid. Fearlessly battled a bum shoulder that has baffled the medical community. The list goes on and on.

But one thing Pres has never done is forget about the little guy.

Sure, he may be comically tan, date a super model, dine at the finest restaurants, travel the world, rub shoulders with coastal elites, whisper to Manatees off his oceanside dock, and sell watches for the common man that cost the monthly salary of the average American worker, but he's still no different than you and I. He puts on his skinny jeans one leg at a time too.

And today he proved once again that he is Grade A Kosher salt of the earth.

Dave joined the Business Insider employees who had been on strike for weeks due to Henry Blodget stealing away their health benefits like some kind of pencil-neck Wall St. grinch. And even though Dave is a man who has been known to hold a grudge or two in the past, he put that aside and joined in the fight for a fair work environment.

When Dave showed up on the picket line the excitement was palpable. I mean just look at the exuberance on the faces of the workers who were getting stomped all over by Bodget and Business Insider.

Have you ever seen a group of people so overcome with joy? Having a titan of media stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in a fight for their health care was obviously one of the great joys of their lives.

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words but in this case it was worth 400,000. Because just hours after Dave fearlessly entered the trenches with the beaten down workforce of Business Insider, Bodget caved and the strike ended. BI workers received a bunch of concessions including $400k in medical reimbursements.

It didn't take long for people to fill the internet streets and chant Dave's name. Raising him onto their shoulders like Rudy, another man who may have been short in stature but massive in heart.

Today a great man performed a great deed.

Pres showed why he is well known as one of the most forgiving and humble men in American business. And now when they write the history books they will tell tales of the great labor leaders in our nation's history: Cesar Chavez, Theodore Roosevelt, Dave Portnoy.

Bravo, Dave. Another win for the common man.
