NY Post- It was a real banger. New Jersey native Charlie Puth claimed Tuesday that he wrote the song “Marks on Your Neck” — from his newest album, “Charlie” — while having sex. Puth, 31, revealed that he was halfway through the deed when he conceived the idea for the song’s melody, reported Interview magazine. “I wrote the song in the middle of the act, maybe I should have focused on the act a little bit more, but the melody just kind of popped into my head and I actually had stopped and recorded a little quick voice note and then had to get back into the act,” the “thirstiest male pop star” told the outlet. “But that’s where that melody came from. I was getting over somebody and what better way [to do that] than meet new people?”

Charlie motherfucking Puth! You old sailor you! Doing some sex and writing a banger literally at the same exact time? That takes talent from a VERY talented person which Charlie Puth clearly is with that damn voice and piano playing skills of his so good for him. There's nothing us normal/untalented losers can do other tip your cap on a scenario like this. We're lucky to write one measly song…no we're lucky to write one melody…no we're lucky to be able to write ONE simple lyric of any song in our entire lives and you know us normies are also just lucky to be having sex at any point!

Then you have this guy doing both at the same time? Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. And you just know the chick that Mr. Puth was with at the time had to absolutely LOVE the whole idea of this. I mean…how could she not?

“It probably wasn’t going to work out with this person and that was what I was energetically picking up, which is OK,” continued the “See You Again” singer.

“It’s all about the experience. And I remember waking up and looking at myself in the mirror, noticing these marks on my neck, and every day they’d heal and fade but so would the person who put them on me. And we went our separate ways.”

“I’m thankful for the experience and maybe they are as well but I just thought it was interesting that a person can fade away at the same pace of the scars on your neck,” elaborated Puth.

You get a sex song written about you and get to watch this guy do his artistic process mid-sex? Not too shabby. That's like romancing Ken Griffey Jr. and mid-sex he gets up to take a few hacks and work on his swing. What was probably next once they were done he whipped out his guitar and started singing Marvin Gaye or See You Again? I look forward to hearing this banger on Charlie's new album. What a hall-of-fame level multitasker.
