People Are Horrified And Disgusted By The Weeknd’s Graphic Lines In New HBO Show “The Idol.” Do People Have No Clue Who The Weeknd Actually Is?

NY Post - TV viewers were left horrified by a sex scene that aired during HBO’s “The Idol” Sunday night.

The footage in question showed The Weeknd, now known by his given name, Abel Tesfaye, telling a woman to “fuckin’ stretch that tiny little pussy” while she stuck her fingers in her mouth.

The show, which already has been described as a “rape fantasy,” faced even more criticism than it already had as soon as the scene aired.

“I will never see the weeknd the same after this #theidol,” tweeted one viewer.

“The Weeknd is such a pervert omg,” tweeted another.

“I really need Abel to get dragged for this nasty scene in The Idol,” commented another.

Another went so far as to say she had “lost respect” for the “Blinding Lights” singer.

First off, I love the NY Post. Prides itself on being a professional journalism rag, has the wittiest headlines in the game, one of the last places in media that tells it like it is, and at the same time, runs shit like this on the regular. 

"Oh man, these random people with a combined 150 followers are sounding off on twitter. Lets print it and run a story about it and blow it up. Maybe that stunad Dante will post it on Barstool."

So yah, I get the game. 100%. That said, the blog isn't about the NY Post. It's about people who were shocked and awed by The Weeknd telling that little minx and a half Lily-Rose Depp to make it talk to him on their new HBO show "The Idol".

Why are all these other people so surprised that the Weeknd is the definition of the word freak?

The guy was put on the map because Drake discovered him and fell in love with his raunchy, filthy, nasty lyrics sung by his beautiful voice.

You ever heard "Often"? One of his first smash hits?

"Ordinary Life"

His verse on "Or Nah"?

Or "The Hills"?

This guy somehow has managed to fly under the radar with some fucking DIRTY DIRTY songs to the point he played the Super Bowl halftime show without so much as peep. I don't give a shit about lyrics or canceling people so I didn't care. I think the more surprising thing was seeing him basically play himself in the Sandler movie "Uncut Gems" and dog out Julia Fox in a club bathroom. His name was never really publicized being in the movie so most people didn't even realize it was him playing in it. Just some natural method acting. 

People upset that the guy who sings about having his girl fuck his whole crew, and swallowing all sorts of bodily fluids, is playing a character pretty much based on him, the actual artist, need to smarten up.
