The Canada Wildfires Have Filled The New York City Skyline With Smoke And Given Off An Apocalyptic Orange Haze

Listen I'm all for the smell of a barbecue or camp fire, but this is insane. There's no other way to describe it —insane. This parade of smoke from upwards of 160 wildfires more than 500 miles away in Canada has entered Manhattan and cast an apocalyptic, orange haze that is eerie enough to give the creeps to anyone. I'm watching the Yankee game right now and it looks like a bunch of fireworks were just set off before first pitch and they're waiting for the smoke to vanish.  It's been a weird day in Gotham.

All of this is transpiring from Quebec where a ton of fires are currently uncontrollable.

Today NYC ranked among the worst cities in the world in terms of air quality.

Can't imagine being outside playing a sport or even watching a game at let's say Yankee Stadium is healthy for anyone.

Now obviously we're not the first city to ever endure smoke like this. All of this is custom over in California, but for here it's a sight to behold. Hopefully the brave firefighters up there in Canada are able to get control of this soon.
