Viktor Hovland Caddieing 36 Holes For His Friend The Day After Winning $3.6 Million At The Memorial Is a Hall-Of-Fame Homie Move

What a guy, Viktor. The day after the biggest win of his professional career at the Memorial, where he tamed a brutally difficult Muirfield Village track and beat Denny McCarthy in a playoff, Hovland stayed in Columbus to caddie 36 holes for his former Oklahoma State teammate Zach Bauchou in today's U.S. Open Sectionals.

Sectionals are known as the longest day in golf—36 holes, typically in scorching heat, with a spot in the U.S. Open on the line. For Hovland to be there roughly 12 hours after he won $3.6 million in a mentally grueling tournament, to caddie for his boy with zero money on the line—that's a hall-of-fame Homie Move. And that's one very rich caddie.

I love that he turned up in his logo'd-out sweater and Ping hat. Just a golf guy through and through. And one helluva good friend.
