Nothing About This Insane Ryder Garnsey Goal In The PLL Makes A Lick Of Sense

The 2023 PLL season got underway this afternoon with Redwoods taking on the Atlas. The PLL offers the best lacrosse players in the world. Guys who have dedicated their entire life to perfecting this craft. Guys who have taken the fundamentals of the game to such a ridiculously high level.

And then there are guys like Ryder Garnsey who don't give a fuck about fundamentals. Never have and never will. The only thing a guy like Ryder Garnsey cares about is putting the ball in the back of the net. Whether he needs to pick up a ground ball while he's rolling around on the turf and then somehow manage to run through 4 different guys to make it happen, it doesn't matter. He's putting the ball in the back of the net one way or another.

And he did it 6 times this afternoon to help lead the Redwoods to a 13-12 win to kick off the season. 6 goals in a game in which he's just 5 days removed from helping lead Notre Dame to a National Championship as an assistant coach on Memorial Day. Dude was coaching on the sidelines on Monday winning a natty, drove up to Albany for the tail end of training camp, and already stuffed 6 goals in the back of the net in the season opener including one goal that defies every single law of physics. What a freak.

This Chris Gray goal wasn't too bad, either.
