Denver and Mayor Hancock Take A 1-0 Lead In "The Annual Corny Bet Between Mayors"

It wouldn’t be the end of a sporting season without mayors, most of whom have never taken a jumper or snap in their life to make it all about themselves with some of the most corny “bets” we see in today’s times.

Mayor Hancock and The Nuggets took a 1-0 lead last night in the "bet" that every mayor thinks is the most clever thing of all time yet really makes them look super corny. Year after year, championship after championship these mayors think they are the first ones to make a wager involving something super niche involving the city or the area they are from. They think it will become page one news, yet no one outside these two cities (and barely anyone in these cities) cares.

Recently we all remember the Cincinnati Mayor calling the Kansas City Chief’s Arrowhead Stadium “Burrow-head” and to double down on being corny he called Joe Burrow the “daddy” of Patrick Mahomes. This went as well as you might have expected with Travis Kelce singling out the mayor on multiple occasions in the post game trophy celebration dunking on him calling him a jabroni and telling him to know his place.

You would think the mayors of Miami and Denver would have realized this isn’t the best idea but as we all know politicans love to make everything about themselves and are corny as can be, so not suprisingly, we have the usual bet between mayors. This would be the losing city’s mayor sending the famous food of that place to the winner and wearing the winning teams’ jersey. This is just another instance of mayors and the fact that the Miami Mayor, Francis Suarez, reached out despite being close to a +350 dog in the series is absolutely insane.
