The New Season Of "I Think You Should Leave" Dropped On Netflix And It's Just As Hilariously F'd Up As We All Hoped

Admittedly I was way late to the party on ITYSL. After about a year of seeing the hot dog meme, the clips of the Coffin Flop, and of course the "Are you sure about that?!" gifs I finally decided to give it a go this past winter. And let me tell you, if you were into that old school "Kids in the Hall" type of fucked up humor then this bad boy is right up your ally.

For those of you that have seen and love the show then you already know the beauty of Tim Robinson's madness. There are literally only two emotions I have watching his sketch comedy show.

1. Laughing so hard I am in tears.

2. Feeling so uncomfortable that there is someone out there with these thoughts bouncing around in their head it's hard to sit still.

And literally nothing in between. But that is the beauty of ITYSL. It is delightfully odd and endearingly disturbed. It takes a small joke and hammers it into the ground so badly that you can't help but laugh. And this season is no different.

I finished 4 of the 6 new episodes last night and if Tim's success is going to his head it sure as hell didn't show. He's just as messed up as ever.

For my money the dating show zipline sketch is an early favorite this season and probably one of my favorites all time on the show. The formula is simple and recognizable. Take the absurdity of a common situation and overlay a simple joke that you can smash to death until every last drop of humor has been wrung out of the premise.

Rinse and repeat.

I totally understand why some people don't like the show. It's juvenile in its presentation and so unorthodox it can be off-putting. But god damn if you can get down with a little cringe then I don't think there is anything funnier on television.

I can already tell there is going to be a million lines we will see quoted and meme'd into oblivion on social media. And I am 100% here for it. Because in a world where everyone takes everything way too fucking seriously, Tim Robinson takes absolutely nothing seriously. And we all need a little more of that in our lives.

PS. If we're being honest, Ronnie was definitely in it for the right reasons and I believe him that Cody is a drug addict. (You'll get it once you watch this season)
