Rangers Prospect Kumar Rocker Has A Torn Ligament In His Elbow And Will Undergo Tommy John Surgery

What a rollercoaster ride the professional career of Kumar Rocker has been so far, which is even wilder considering all of this shit happened in a ONE YEAR span:

Now another year later he is going under the knife for the dreaded TJ word. Absolutely brutal news for a player given a 70/70 baseball name at birth and was just as good in college to the point that even casual baseball fans knew his name before the draft.

Everyone took their turns yelling at Steve Cohen and tweeting LOLMets for whoever was sitting as GM during the musical chair for passing on signing Rocker because of concerns over his elbow, which led to the Mets getting the pick that turned into Kevin Parada. But there was clearly a reason to be concerned considering Rocker needs surgery on that elbow after 28 innings in A-Ball. Hopefully he bounces back when he's cleared to pitch in 2024 or 2025.
