Last Night's Episode Of Succession Has Me Truly Worried About The Future Of America

I don't know how you can watch that concession speech and not be worried about the future of America as a country. Actually fuck that. I don't know how you can watch that concession speech and not be worried about the future of America as a REPUBLIC (you know this is bad when people start throwing the R word around when talking about America). Seeing a man with that type of character concede from a race to rule this country burned my American soul like it was being doused with wasabi and lemon water, which is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anybody.

Connor Roy has everything you'd want in a president. He's confident, is a member of a powerful family, and has a ride or die wife like sweet Willa. Sure he was registering low single digits in the political polls that can be skewed a million different ways by whoever is running them. But look how he did in the polls run by HBO.

Poll Don't Lie!

Connor can't do anything about the fact that his running mates literally stopped doing their one job, which was running like jackrabbits always do. That damn near treasonous act led to the type of uncertainty that will kill any political campaign on the vine no matter how strong the person it is rooted to may be.

Again, I don't like talking politics in general let alone on the world wide web. But it's hard to not think that America completely fucked up not electing the billionaire that was willing to move to Oman for his country (at least after he discussed it with his wOman) before landing in a place where he can do Vienna for lunch, Venice for dinner, and Dubrovnik for breakfast.

The establishment on both sides of the aisle should be afraid. Because the Conheads are coming (I'm just not sure when).
