'This Is Something That Can Be Done. It's Been Done 13 Times Before.' - RJ Barrett, Giving The Knicks A Rallying Cry And Sense Of Hope

Is there still work to do? Of course. But fuck it, I want my guys to say stuff like this. Jalen put it best the other day. It's not game 7. It's the next quarter, the next half and then the next game. But RJ is right. This is something that can be done. Win game 6 and you're back home. That's all that matters at this point obviously.

I know it should have been easy for the Knicks to win game 5. You're at home in a must-win scenario. You should almost always win that game. But Milwaukee didn't against this very same Heat team. RJ has the right to say this too. He was damn good and hit massive free throws to help get the win. It's not like he's guaranteeing anything, he's just putting a stat out there. Stats are good, especially when they can be a rallying cry. There's a sense of hope. 13 times ain't a lot, but it's better than zero.

I love how straight faced RJ is saying fighting for our lives too. Believe it, even if it's just a common saying in sports. The Knicks didn't fight for shit in games 3 and 4. There were actual rebounds tonight. There were guys actually willing to get on the floor. Everyone battled and acted like they had to win a playoff game. So keep fighting for your lives. That's half the battle against the Heat. You know they are going to hit shots. You know Spo is a ridiculously good coach. Just out hustle them and you're going to have a chance.

It's been done before.
