"SOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNK" - Keith Yandle

On today's Pardon My Take... KEITH YANDLE! The longtime hockey player joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter today to talk some playoff hockey, his career in the NHL, being the iron man, and much more.

Another topic the guys touched on was Yandle's creation of the word "SONK." If you're not a hockey fan, this may be an unfamiliar word to you. But this is how Yandle explained it on today's show...

"Remember, everyone used to say 'SIKE' back in the day? We kind of just took it, it was me and Chris Bourque, Ray Bourque's son, we kind of, one day someone said, 'SIKE,' and then someone said, 'Yeah, SONK.' And then it just stuck from there on. So it's basically, when I would do it during the game, I would fake a pass and just basically SIKE somebody, or SONK them, and they would go the other way, and it would just, it would crack me up." - Keith Yandle on today's Pardon My Take
