After 13 Years Of Grinding The Minor Leagues, Drew Maggi Has His First Major League Hit + RBI #SomeThings

In case you have been in a medically induced comma for the last couple of weeks, Drew Maggi is a player on the Pittsburgh Pirates who was recently called up to the big leagues after playing in the minors for the last 13 seasons. 13!

Most guys would pack it in by then, but Drew either loves long bus rides or loves baseball too much to give up on his dream. And it all worked out for him today, as he realized his dream of getting a major league hit + an RBI to boot!

What a great week for Mr. Maggi. Chartered flights, 5 star hotels, dinners that don't come from vending machines, major league paychecks, and now his first hit and RBI.

Drew seems like an all-time great vibes guy and I hope he's making the most of this. And big time credit to the Nationals fans who gave him the ovation he deserved. That's #class.
