While Taking a Picture With a Fan The Titans GM Was Basically Threatened If He Traded Away Derrick Henry

This is exactly why fans are the best. We care more than most of the front office and some players. Sometimes you gotta just get the pulse of the fanbase before you're about to make a huge, franchise-altering move. This woman put the fear of God in his eyes and made it abundantly clear that trading Derrick Henry would destroy the fanbase. That's enough for him to nod his head, promise her he wouldn't, and keep his prized running back. Imagine they were on the inch yard line of doing the trade and he came back into the war room to completely kill it because of this woman. GM of the year if that's the case. 

If I was an owner of a team...and before I keep going just know this is a terrible, but cool idea...the first thing I would do is hire a fan to be the GM. They would have no feelings towards some of these guys. Cut out the relationship side of the business. Just imagine Frank the Tank as a GM. Sure if a guy struck out twice they'd get cut before the game ends, but I can tell you with certainty Frank cares more than anyone and will die trying to win a championship. That's the kind of mentality you need in the front office.
