IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING: THE RAVENS AND LAMAR JACKSON HAVE REACHED A 5-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

SOUND THE ALARMS, IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!!

Holy fuck what a journey this has been. Straight up tear your hair out, why the fuck is this happening type of stuff. For a while there it got pretty gloomy. Did not seem whatsoever like either side was on the same page or even wanted anything to do with each other. Lamar played hardball and turned his nose up at numerous offers over the past two years, and when push came to shove at franchise tag time, the Ravens played hardball right back. These streets got downright nasty as people took sides on what the best path forward was.

It got some damn bleak that I was content with just figuring out a solution... any solution... that would end the drama once and for all so we could all move forward with our lives. Whether that meant with or without him, I just wanted it over. 

Now that it's over, I can happily say that I'm glad Lamar Jackson is going to be the QB in Baltimore for another 5 years. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. We've built our franchise around his style of play, and are finally being aggressive about giving him talented receivers. We've got a new OC that can broaden the vision of the offense and open things up. And the rest of the roster is damn near top level. The missing piece is, and always has been, a healthy Lamar Jackson. You can't have a healthy Lamar if he's not even on the roster. Let's get our QB right and go on a Super Bowl run. Hell, maybe a few. 

I'm so fucking fired up and glad this is over. I guess we'll wait for terms but I don't even care right now.
