Dillon Brooks Talking All That Shit And Then Refusing To Speak To The Media After Last Night Is So Incredibly Pathetic

Talking shit in professional sports is certainly nothing new. Part of the fun is guys talking shit and then having to go out on the floor/field/ice/whatever and then seeing if they can back it up. If they don't, having to own up to their shit talking/play is part of the gig. Nobody likes someone who is very loud when things go their way and then quiet as a church mouse when things seem to not work in their favor. 

When it comes to Dillon Brooks, everyone from the players to the fans know the deal

“They’re just extra. They talk when they’re winning. They don’t say s— when they’re losing. Their whole thing over there is just annoying

Hmmmmm, that sounds pretty spot on no? Just look at what happened last night.

After all this talking about LeBron and not respecting him until he drops 40 and how old he is, Dillon Brooks followed that up by going 3-13 (1-5) in 19 minutes before getting tossed for being the latest player who suddenly has an obsession with smashing someone's dick and balls. Is Brooks actually auditioning to join the Sixers since this is his last guaranteed year in MEM? It's hard to say.

I can't say a move like this is all that surprising or the 3-13 shooting. Part of the issue with Brooks is he thinks he's the type of guy who should be taking 13 FGA in just 19 minutes. What came next though is maybe the most predictable part when it comes to Brooks and the Grizzlies shit talking overall

Talk about being fucking soft. You can't run your mouth like Brooks did, then follow up with how he played, then hit someone in the dick, and then be like, "nope! No comment! I'm not talking!" That is so incredibly pathetic it kind of forces you to do one of the worst things humanly possible, which is root for the Lakers. 

Do you know who would have loved to talk if he shut LeBron down and the Grizzlies won? Dillon Brooks! Sounds to me like that anonymous player was right on the money. This is how you immediately lose respect of players and fans in my opinion. Talk all the shit you want, it's fun! But when things don't go your way and you lay an egg, you can't run and hide and pretend like you haven't been running your mouth all series. Be a grown man and face the music. 

Instead, Brooks decided to act like a sad little Twitter troll. I'm not sure how he shows his face the rest of the series, even if this is kind of his thing. Let's say the Grizzlies win Game 4, you can bet your ass Dillon Brooks isn't going to be giving "no comments" to reporters. 

Ja Morant once talked about how he couldn't understand why the Grizzlies were the most hated team in the league

Uhhhhhhhhh I wonder why? Maybe because their star point guard is waving guns around in a strip club and another guy on their team is Dillon Brooks acting like a gigantic loser? 

On a positive note, it does look like Ja is going to be OK with his hand after his offensive explosion last night

But the Grizzlies are quickly running out of time. If they don't win Game 4 and instead fall down 3-1 to a 7 seed, well you can kind of guess how that series is most likely to end up.
