"You Really Kind Of Embarrassed Your Profession" - Jim Palmer Ripping Umpire Vic Carapazza After A Super Soft Ejection In Last Night's Orioles Game

We had another glorious episode of "Ump Show" in Baltimore last night, this time we got recurring guest Vic Carapazza making an ass out of himself. He ejected Ramón Urías last night after Urias didn't agree with 2 different strike calls. You can see in the video both are off the plate, strike 2 much more off the plate than strike 3. Regardless, neither were a strike to anyone but that crumb bum Vic. Urias gets rung up and clearly didn't like it, but didn't make a scene. Takes his equipment off, tosses them aside and maybe he is muttering something under his breath, and that is all it takes for Carapazza to feel triggered. He ejects Urias for.....nothing really. Tossing the equipment I guess? He was looking into the Orioles dugout and it doesn't even look like he's saying anything. Just another soft ass umpire with the thinest skin I've ever seen. Carapazza was wrong, he was flat out wrong on 2 pitches. Players should be allowed to voice their opinion on balls and strikes, two calls that bad can't be ignored. But no in Carapazza's world, he NEEDED people to know he was umpiring the plate tonight, he needed his name in the paper. Was Vic that insulted by a guy merely tossing his equipment?

Orioles broadcaster and LEGEND Jim Palmer wasted no time ripping into Vic. This is what I love about Palmer, he's old enough where he doesn't give a shit. If he believes something he's going to say it, so that is what he did last night.

"Just turn around. Go umpire. They didn't come to see you umpire, Vic. It's a bush league call right there. No reason to do that. You really kind of embarrass your profession when you do that."

Gottttttt himmmmmmmm. And it's all true too. No one comes to see these dorky umpires. He fucked up 2 different calls, 2. If he can't handle being wrong and being told that he is wrong I don't know if this profession is for him. He was looking for a reason to throw him out, why even hang around Urias when he's at home plate taking his stuff off. Awful calls by Vic and he deserved to get ripped to shreds. Also, telling someone that they "are embarrassing their profession" is such a deep cut. That is one you will think about for years. Palmer was 100% right in his call too, these guys are awful.
