It Is Incredible To Me That People Continually Have To Be Reminded Who Patrick Fucking Kane Is

I feel like I am living in an alternate universe from other people on this app. The tri-state area has been absolutely DELUSIONAL about Patrick Kane since January. First there was a LOUD contingent of Rangers fans who didn't want him in a trade. Then after the trade happened, Patrick Kane flew to NYC and he was a -4 with no points in his first two games as a Ranger. People were BURYING HIM. "He's washed", "he sucks now", "his hip doesn't work". It's like they didn't watch a single game in February when he was the absolute best player in the league as his time with the Blackhawks was coming to close. Then poof...he turned into Patrick Kane again after, ya know, having a practice with his new teammates and getting his life settled a bit because he had to adjust to playing and living in a new city for the first time since he was 18 years old.

Then, for maintenance, the Rangers decided to shut Kane down for the last couple weeks of the season to ensure that he was ready to go for the playoffs. You had guys like this Pasha guy above saying he's a liability. Then when Kane wasn't spectacular in Game 1 after having to ramp it up to playoff mode after not playing for two weeks people were throwing dirt on him again. It is INSANITY.

It is weird for me to see Patrick Kane in a different uniform, but the one thing I am used to is him turning into Superman when the lights are brightest. Eventually, Patrick Kane is going to destroy his opponent in the playoffs. That is what he does. He's done it for his entire adult life and somehow people forgot. The ENTIRE game ran through Patrick Kane last night. People in Chicago can tell when Kaner is feeling it after watching him play over a thousand games and burning playoff memories into our brains. I could read his body language last night. He fucking wanted the puck on his stick. He was seeing everything. He's an absolute assassin when he gets in that mode and seeing him in playoff-mode again brought me back. The swagger, the skill, the fire, it was all there and it was beautiful. I could practically see the mullet and the stripes in his sideburns again. You don't get the nickname "Showtime" without coming through in clutch moments. He loves the big games. He always gets better as the series goes along and that is BAD news for the New Jersey Devils. Kaner was KILLING them in fucking Newark, NJ last night. Just imagine how he is going to be in a playoff game at the world's most famous arena.

Don't you ever doubt Patrick Kane again.

If you need further evidence, here is a documentary length youtube of just his playoff goals
