Plot Twist! The NBA Actually IS Suspending Draymond Green For Game 3

Earlier today, Shams broke the suspense and let us know that all signs pointed to Draymond Green not being suspended for what went down between him and Domantas Sabonis.

Immediately the response was what you expect. Pretty much everyone who isn't a Warriors fan thought it was bullshit. I wouldn't exactly call the public reaction positive, just look at the QTs. At the time, it seemed like the Warriors dodged a bullet with their season on the ropes as they return home where if they lose Game 3, their season is over.

But now?

Well what do we have here?!

This tells me three things

1. Rich Paul and Klutch were 10000% the source behind Shams' first tweet. Draymond is a Klutch guy, Shams is a Klutch guy, that's a lock. Rich Paul probably told Shams nothing was going to happen, just like always. That's why his tweet was surprising and predictable all at the same time.

2. The NBA absolutely saw the public reaction to the leak and decided they couldn't go through with it. Maybe they were the ones to leak it to Shams so they could get a soft reaction before the official word came down. Once they saw everyone thought it was a terrible idea, they went with the "repeat offender" angle, which….yeah no shit. That's was the whole point to begin with.

3. Adam Silver is tired of people calling him a pussy. First he fined Mark Cuban $750,000- for giving him and the league the middle finger, now this. Is Adam Silver awake? Are we about to fix the officiating problem too? OK maybe that's asking too much, but at least we know Silver has a pulse!

Anyone who has watched the Warriors knows how important Draymond is to what they do, especially this season

For a team that already was having issues defensively and isn't all that deep, losing a player like Draymond is a big deal. Remember, the Kings were a Western Conference best 25-16 on the road this season. They haven't even really shot the ball yet as a team and they're 2-0. They smell blood. The pace that they play is giving the Warriors hell, and I'm not sure that changes just because the game is in San Francisco. Safe to say Thursday night just got a whole lot more interesting.

I'd say maybe Draymond will now learn his lesson, but we all know he won't. He'll play the victim, Steph will have to save the day, and we'll be right back in this same spot at some point in the future.
