Josh Hart And Jalen Brunson Are The Exact Good Juju Duo The Knicks Needed - Keep Them Together Forever

Real quick plug before I get into it. Read Clem's full recap here:

I want to talk specifically about the Nova boys after seeing this press conference. This is what the Knicks always needed. A duo who are best friends, who hit dagger shots and fit the exact type of basketball that needs to be played. Call me crazy, but I can't recall a time like that since the mid-90s at best? Maybe go back to Willis Reed and Walt Frazier.

But I'm talking modern day here. Amar'e and Melo sure weren't it. Now we have the Nova boys and I want them forever. They just do everything right. Whether it's Josh Hart chasing Donovan Mitchell around and then crashing the glass before hitting a massive shot before the shot clock ends:

He's brought exactly what we needed to the Knicks. I'd do that trade every single year and you're an idiot if you disagree. Then again, we should have known when this was what happened:

Now you have him showing up wearing Brunson's face on a shirt for the postgame press conference. Do I care that it's 1-0 in a best of 4? No. I mean, sure, it matters, but the Knicks needed to win that game. They did. Now the series is very much alive.

And you know what's different? Listen to Julius Randle here:

Randle knows he has help around him. It's not the Hawks series from a couple years ago where it felt like he had to do everything. He didn't force. He made the extra pass. That's something we call growth in the business. Things just feel different this time around. It starts with Randle and it starts with Hart and Brunson. Keep the Nova boys together forever.
