National Champion Head Coach Dan Hurley Is Open To Eventually Moving To The NBA

On today's Pardon My Take... DAN HURLEY! The National Champion and Head Coach of the Connecticut Huskies stopped by our studio to discuss winning it all with the Huskies, whether or not he has gone soft, his lucky underwear, and much more.

Coach Hurley has made a handful of stops before coming to Storrs. He started at St. Anthony HS, then was an assistant at Rutgers, followed by roughly a decade at St. Benedict's Prep, and then became a college head coach at Wagner and Rhode Island. So, with all of those stops in mind, is UConn the final one for Coach Hurley? Mr. Commenter asked him if he had any interest in coaching in the NBA one day, and the champion's answer was as honest as it could have been. Take a look:

It doesn't get any more straightforward than that. Could we see Dan Hurley on the NBA sidelines one day? Yes, but he admits that he has to work on his emotions before making that jump. For now, he will start the journey of trying to go back-to-back with UConn, where he has a handful of key pieces returning to next year's team.

The Hurley's are the absolute best. We had Dan on right after UConn made the Final Four, and Bobby the day of the National Title Game. PMT = HUGE HURLEY GUYS!
