OPINION: Any Philly Fan Who Still Supports The Sixers New Arena Plan Is Now The Enemy

Listen. Am I happy for Washington Commanders fans that they finally have new ownership? Am I glad they no longer have to deal with the torturous treachery of rooting for a team owned by Daniel Snyder? Am I thrilled at the idea that the organization will no longer be riddled in turmoil and conflict?

Hell no. I hate all of it. Absolutely despise the fact. I want all of my enemies to have nothing but pain and suffering and heartbreak.

Now they say that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". But what happens if your friend then becomes yet another enemy? That's what we're dealing with here now with that snake Josh Harris.

I've always been taught to never count another man's money. I've always been taught that what another man does with his money is his own business. But you know what? Fuck that. I'm willing to make an exception when it comes to a team owner in Philly now owning MULTIPLE rival teams.

It was one thing when Josh Harris owned both the Sixers and the Devils. Harris bought the Devils in 2013. Before this season, the team has only made the playoffs once since that time and they lost in 5 games. Not that the Flyers have been great during that time either, but it was hard to care about the Devils over their past 10 years of irrelevancy (obviously not the case anymore this year).

But this should have been the first red flag when the Sixers came out with their new arena proposal last summer.

The Sixers have had to pay rent to play at the Wells Fargo Center for all these years. Who owns the Wells Fargo Center? Comcast-Spectacor. What else does Comcast-Spectacor own? The Philadelphia Flyers. Now admittedly they have done a dog shit job with owning the Flyers, but that's neither here nor there. The fact of the matter is that Josh Harris, who owns the Devils, no longer wants to pay rent to the owner of the Flyers. In fact, he wants to take money directly out of the pockets of the Flyers by moving the Sixers to Center City. Like I said, that should have been a red flag right away.

But now what does Josh Harris go out and do? Now he goes out and becomes the savior for the Washington Commanders. It wasn't bad enough he had to already own a rival of the Flyers, but now he has to go out and own a rival of the Eagles. This son of a bitch. This weasel. It's only a matter of time before he puts an offer in to buy the Braves.

So just to set the record straight here--Devils owner Josh Harris wants to cut the Flyers at the knees by moving the Sixers to a new arena in Center City and no longer have to pay rent to Comcast-Spectacor. And now Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris' main objective is to beat the Philadelphia Eagles.

In what world can you support the Sixers new arena plan and still consider yourself to be a Philly fan? If anything, you should realistically be rooting for Comcast to jack the price of rent up for the Sixers. Take a little more money out of Josh Harris' pocket and all of a sudden the budget gets a little tighter for the Commanders in free agency. Whatever it takes to make sure the Eagles stay on top in the NFC East. If that means the Center City arena never gets built and the Sixers have to stay at Wells Fargo Center for the rest of eternity? Then so be it.

Go Birds.
