A Follow-Up Rey Movie Is In The Works From The Creator Of 'Peaky Blinders'

The biggest failure of the sequel trilogy is simple: There was no cohesion between the movies. One character that stayed solid throughout the whole series, though, is Rey. Whatever failures of the trilogy can't be put on that character or Daisy Ridley's back, so It's kinda exciting to see what she can do.

This is going to be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who did a bunch of great short films, animated features and Ms. Marvel. It's written by Steven Knight, who you'll best know as the creator of one of the best shows netflix ever made in 'Peaky Blinders'. I will not that, despite the success of that show, he is also responsible for one of my least favorite movies of the last few years in 'Serenity', a movie where a teenager creates a video game that allows him to play as his dad and he proceeds to fuck his own mom. Weird shit.

Anyway, Ridley deserves to escape the clutches of the JJ verse.
