"Actually, The Taliban Isnt That Bad" Was A Blog That Was Published Today And That's Moronic

I dont say this lightly but this is the worst opinion I've ever seen on this website. It's shockingly bad.

I'm glad Giulio had a swell time with the folks who treated him so well. Anytime you can hang out with the worst people on earth, you have to do it. Anytime you can mention that they love foreigners without mentioning they might cut your head off, rape the women you came with, flog you in the street, kill women by stoning them to death in the town square, or just generally being sadistic and barbaric pieces of human trash, you gotta do it. 

Maybe that was his experience but it is far from the norm and bizarre to even say "They are principled even if it's usually sideways or unreasonable." Yes. Unreasonable. That's it. It's unreasonable. They cannot be reasoned with when it comes to... human rights. 

The Taliban, if many like Giulio have forgotten, is actually a militant Islamist group that emerged in the early 1990s in Afghanistan. There are many reasons why the Taliban is considered a terrorist organization by nearly everyone and I don't think it's because they are unreasonable. It probably has more to do with the fact that they commit human rights violations with every single breath. 

The Taliban is known for its extreme interpretation of Islamic law, which has led to widespread human rights abuses. They have been responsible for the oppression of women, including denying them access to education, work, and healthcare. They have also been known to target ethnic and religious minorities, engaging in forced conversions, and killing those who do not comply with their beliefs.

The Taliban has been responsible for a number of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and other countries while also ramping up their return to extreme versions of Sharia law and extreme punishments/ extrajudicial killings.

OH! And they killed several thousand Americans pretty recently.

Moronic. 

Travel. Travel all over the place if you wish. Donnie went to Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Korea. I don't think he came back and said, "I know that they have the fake cities and hold hundreds of thousands of its citizens in concentration camps doing forced labor for 21 hours a day until they die, but man oh man are the oranges delicious there. Citrus in North Korea generally really pops. "

They were recently permitted to have video calls with their family, where they shared that they were being treated fairly.

Unreal levels of ignorance. Of course, they say that. John McCain said he was being treated fairly in Vietnam. Meanwhile, he had a full body cast on because they cut out the cartilage in his knees, ankles, and toes. But he reported that they were treating him fairly just days after he was lowered from a meat hook with his hands and legs tied together for hours and days at a time and maggots were placed in his wounds. He was treated fairly. 

Let's do a quick recent news round-up to see what their principled positions are leading them to do now that they are back in power.

Overall, what Giulio said was moronic and damn near qualifies as Taliban propaganda. But again, Im glad he had a great time living as a foreigner who was treated well for an afternoon and then sent on his way with a smile and neat hat while women burned in the street for the crime of being women who don't submit instantly to their prehistoric overlords.

Im sure he is a smart guy. Francis wouldn't team up with someone stupid, but make no mistake, that entire blog was dumb as fuck.

And, to be honest, if he would have said "The people of Afghanistan are hospitable and…." I would have been fine with it. The Afghan people are not the problem but to specially point out the Taliban as principled and accommodating is not only one of the dumbest things I've read on Barstool, it's one of the dumbest things I've ever read anywhere. 

Again, just outrageously stupid.
