'Thank You For Being My Friend' - Jim Nantz, Predictably, Delivered A Perfect Goodbye From His Last Final Four

Everyone knew Jim Nantz was going to deliver some form of goodbye friends. I mean this is the man who greets us every sporting event with hello friends. Simple. Perfect. But this? This was his goodbye. His last Final Four in the city where he went to college. He obviously timed it up that way and what not, but he still had to deliver a line of some sort. Hill and Raft tried getting him choked up with the game over and a few seconds left.

Then he delivered. It's still weird that Nantz is calling the biggest sporting event in a few days in Augusta. But I'm a college hoops guy first. Always have been, always will be. I said it in a previous blog, Nantz is all I know when it comes to the Final Four. He's been the only guy to call the Final Four in my lifetime. We've had Billy Packer and Greg Anthony and Raft and Grant Hill. But it was always Nantz.

Perfect line. Gonna take some time getting used to hearing Ian Eagle at the Final Four and Ian Eagle is awesome. Give yourself your tie, Jim. You deserve it.
