A Genius Driver Tried To Use A "Get Out Of Jail Free" Monopoly Card After Being Pulled Over For A Traffic Violation

Let me start things off by saying I stand by calling this guy a genius in the headline despite it not working out since it's nice to see a little bit of American ingenuity still taking place in this great country of ours. So many people would just take their piece of super thin paper, pay the fine, and move on. But not this nameless hero.

I mean what's the worst a Chisago cop is going to do to someone trying to get out of a traffic stop with a Get Out Of Jail Free card? The best case scenario is clearly this driver getting the violation thrown out on the spot and the officer having a funny little story to share when he heads back to his precinct. Whatever small fee the town would make on that ticket can't be equal to the good vibes of someone using a Monopoly card in real life. Worst case, this driver runs into a hardo that threatens to bump up his Moving Violation to a Grade A Moving Violation or some shit for having the unmitigated gall of having a little bit of fun in this fucked up world we are all living in.

The bottom line is, you should always shoot that shot if you have a Get Out Of Jail Free Card. At least for anything being written by a traffic cop in a town that has a name comically close to a major American city that is only a (:opens up Google Maps:) 6 hour drive down I-90. Nobody from Chisago should take themselves too seriously.

Now I wouldn't try to throw a card with Rich Uncle Pennybags (yes that's really his name) on it at a cop if you are being arrested for murder, assault, or anything that lands you in actual jail. But I do think having a Get Out Of Jail Free card is at the very least a good conversation starter and could be used to keep John Q. Law off your ass for at least a misdemeanor, which is why I have had this bad boy in my wallet for years after I snagged it from the Community Chest.

I also think if a cop pulls this bad boy out in response to your Get Out Of Jail Free card, you should have to go to jail, no matter how minor the crime was that caused him to ask for your ID. No passing Go or collecting $200, which looking back was some real deal participation trophy shit.
