It Doesn't Matter If You Think It's Soft, The Foul On Creighton Was 100% The Correct Call

This is the talk of what sent San Diego State to the Final Four. It was correct. Say what you want about it being soft, but this is a foul at any point in the game. Nembhard grabs him and extends the arm. The moment that arm is fully extended the refs are going to call a foul. It sucks. It's a soft foul, but it's also bad defense. Both can be true here. It didn't matter that there was 1.2 seconds left. It's a foul.

And shout out Darrion Trammell. The guy who transferred in from Seattle, hit big shots against Alabama, had a decent game today and then hit the game-winning free throw.

I mean, shit, this was an ugly game. That's how San Diego State wins this. It didn't even matter they ran the worst inbounds play you could arguably run.

I mean have some touch, don't throw it to your hoop but man, Dutcher, design something besides post up a bigger guy. Get some screen action. It ended up not mattering though because of that foul. Again, say it's soft. It's the correct call. No one is more anti-ref than me and even I can admit it's right.

But credit to San Diego State. They did their game. They held Creighton to 11% from three. 2-for-18. Creighton shoots the shit out of the ball. That's what SDSU has done all Tournament. They muck the game up and then they have someone in Lamont Butler who can hit shots late and create.

SDSU vs FAU for a trip to the national title game. What a goddamn Tournament.
