Meatballs, Prayer, And Hoops: The Big East Is In An Amazing Spot Right Now

On today's Pardon My Take... JOHN FANTA! The college basketball expert and Big East guru joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter in-studio to discuss the major headlines in the conference ranging from coaching changes, the three teams still remaining in the NCAA Tournament, and much more.

In addition to all of the fireworks that sparked this week, Fanta delivered an all-time motto to describe the Big East Conference on today's show, and it involves three words:

Meatballs. Prayer. Hoops.

You have a handful of Italians, you have a bunch of Catholic schools, and you have basketball. An impeccable slogan by the King of the Big East himself, John Fanta. In just the past week, we have seen the following storylines take place:

- Rick Pitino to St. John's

- Ed Cooley goes from Providence to Georgetown

- UConn, Xavier, and Creighton all make the Sweet 16

Drama! Fireworks! Popcorn! The historic conference is as relevant as it has been in a very long time. We also have a new shirt available on the Barstool Store revolving around this slogan:

Meatballs. Prayer. Hoops. The Big East way.
