Is This Rich Old Guy A Creep For Offering A Woman 100K To Take Her Mask Off On An Airplane?

A tech tycoon has been branded a “creep” after allegedly offering a woman $100,000 to take off her face mask on board a Delta flight.

Steve Kirsch took to Twitter to say he made the anonymous passenger the offer last Friday.

“I am on board a Delta flight right now. The person sitting next to me in first-class refused $100,000 to remove her mask for the entire flight,” the millionaire wrote. “No joke. This was after I explained they don’t work. She works for a pharma company.”

Kirsch accompanied his post with a selfie that showed him smiling on board the full flight. He did not disclose the destination to which he was traveling.

The Post reached out to Kirsch for comment.

Kirsch is a Silicon Valley veteran who is credited with one of the first versions of the optical mouse back in 1980.

This is a tough one. On one hand, that's 100 grand! On the other, this guy is a douche bag who doesn't deserve to get what he wants just because he threw some money at it.

Kirsch followed up his initial tweet with a lengthy thread further explaining his interaction with the mask-clad traveler.

“I started the bidding at $100,” the businessman wrote. “And I pointed out that when she removed the mask for eating and drinking, she could be infected with one breath. So she had full disclosure.”

“She took off her mask as soon as the breakfast was served!!!! Because everyone knows you can’t get infected while you are eating!!” he sarcastically added, before concluding: “Maybe next time I’ll sit next to someone who had an account at Silicon Valley Bank.”

Personally IDGAF about the mask. Maybe they work, maybe they don't, who knows. You're not required to wear them on planes anymore so I don't, because one time I wore one and my air vent wasn't open all the way and I passed out in the aisle. Oxygen is important, and I'm an anxious person! If I was wearing it though, with all sincerity either trying to protect myself, make myself feel better or keep my own sickness inside my mask, then who cares. I don't need some blowhard next to me in First Class giving me a mask lecture. Mind your business bro! The more you insist upon something just because you want to be right, the less likely I am to give in. It sounds like by the end of this "conversation" he could've offered me a million dollars to take it off and I still would've said no, just to piss him off. Sometimes it's priceless making an old white man mad enough to stomp his feet and go on a Tweet rampage.

There is something a little pervy about it too? The most glaring being that he just wanted to control this lady. Randomly offering up large sums of money for people to further expose themselves, even if it's not technically sexual, is still creepy. Maybe she didn't have makeup on! Maybe she got bad vibes from your clown bald ass and didn't want you knowing exactly what she looked like! If he's offering 100k to take off the mask, it's a slippery slope until he's wiring a million for a crotch shot in the plane bathroom. Get a grip dude.
