Shavkat Rakhmonov Moves On To 17-0 And Keeps His 100% Finish Rate Alive In A WAR

Holy shit, what a fight! This UFC 285 card is absolutely living up to the hype thus far into the night, and I hope it's just a sign of things to come in our main event between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane.

Shavkat Rakhmonov and Geoff Neal just put on an absolute WAR (that honestly raised BOTH men's stock) on the main card, where Neal's heart/chin looked like it was gonna put an end to Rakhmonov's 100% finish rate, but the former M-1 Global Champ dug deep for a super impressive finish late in the fight to extend his undefeated record to 17-0.

It ain't often you see a standing choke like that, but it felt all the more appropriate on a Jon Jones card - Jones having the most savage standing submission of all time....

Seriously, though, Shavkat Rakhmonov is an absolute fucking MACHINE in that cage, huh? It was insane to see him walk though some of those shots from Neal and outwork him like he did throughout the fight. He's a problem for anyone in the division and Jon Anik was right to call him the Boogeyman.

Valentina Shevchenko takes on Alexa Grasso next, and then Jones returns against Ciryl Gane. I took Valentina and the over in this one, and Jones via decision in the main event.

P.S. MMA Cat is in the building tonight! Let's check in with him for some thoughts....

Thanks Dan. Submissions do rule.
