JAKE GYLLENHAAL WITH THE KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT AT UFC 285!

BAH GAWD! GYLLENHAAL KNOCKED HIS ASS OUT AND WOULDN'T STOP GOING AFTER HIM! THAT WAS BARBARIC!

If you're confused about what the hell is happening here - they're filming a scene for the upcoming ROAD HOUSE "reimagining" in front of the live crowd, which stars Gyllenhaal and features the acting debut of 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor!

Last night, they filmed a scene at weigh-ins where Gyllenhaal got into it with former UFC fighter Jay Hieron, who is playing a fighter named Jack Harris in the movie....

….and the talk about whether or not Gyllenhaal (or Elwood Dalton, his character) would pass USADA tests cracked me up.

Tonight, he got the full walkout/fight experience in front of the live crowd, and I'd imagine that must be the most exhilarating way to film a movie like this, right? You get one shot at it in front of thousands of fight fans - no fucking it up, no reshoots. Sounds awesome.

They've been careful to call this a ROAD HOUSE "reimagining" instead of "remake", because obviously it's going to be a hell of a lot different from the 1989 classic starring Patrick Swayze if we've got full on UFC fights going down - and I predict we just saw them film the very beginning of the new movie.

Gyllenhaal wouldn't stop going after his opponent post-stoppage (shoutout Chris Tognoni), he'll get DQ'd and kicked outta the UFC for this and go down a tailspin that ends with him as a bouncer - and that's where ROAD HOUSE gets going. Makes a whole lotta sense to me!

Where McGregor factors into the movie I have no idea, because I don't believe he's playing himself, or even a UFC fighter, but I'm certainly excited for it.

I think Gyllenhaal rarely misses when it comes to the movies he picks, and Doug Liman (Swingers, The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper, Edge of Tomorrow) is directing. Jake didn't look half bad in there, either, so Alex Pereira better watch this back.
