Ian Machado Garry Scores A TKO In Style After Getting Rocked And Dropped BADLY

What a performance from "The Future" Ian Machado Garry tonight.

After getting rocked and dropped in the first round/put in the worst position he's ever been in his professional career, Ian Garry recovered masterfully and came back to win the second round, and then stepped up and got a HUGE finish in the third.

Obviously, you'd hope a -730 favorite isn't getting dropped that badly in the first round, but I think that could've served as a real wake up call for Garry that will only help him in the long run. Plus, he recovered well, and it seemed like he already learned from that mistake - literally - by the third round....

….and even got the attention of Conor McGregor with that TKO!

The way he turned it up for that finish was incredibly impressive to me. It was like you could see the moment he smelled blood in the water and decided to put his foot on the gas - and he had Song Kenan's eye blown up like ROCKY's!

In his post-fight interview, Garry called for a spot on the UFC 287 card in just under five weeks - and I hope he gets it! Dana usually loves when fighters make requests for quick turnarounds like that, as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does.

P.S. I've seen a lot of people clowning Ian Garry for taking his wife's last name on Twitter and shit, but the story behind it is pretty sweet in my opinion.

When he and his wife Layla found out they were expecting their first child together, they decided they wanted him to have the same last name as Layla's son from a previous relationship - and Garry would take on the same name so the kids knew they were one big family. Call me soft, but that's a pretty heartwarming thing to do for the kids. I'm an Ian Machado Garry guy.
