A Barstool Employee Was Just Let Go

Barstool Lenny still has a gig with the stool and stars, but unfortunately he will not with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are expexted to part ways with Fournette in a cap cutting move before the new NFL league year starts on March 15th.

Fournette will be best remembered for his role as "Playoff Lenny" during the Buccaneers magical Super Bowl run at the end of the 2020 season when he amassed 448 yards and 4 TDs, scoring in each contest.

His 135 total yards in the Super Bowl were key to salting the game away and keeping the ball out of Patrick Mahomes hands.

Buccaneers GM Jason Licht commented today he still believes Lenny has a few years left in the tank, even at 28 years old. But whatever happens, he'll still have his gig at Barstool as a blogger to fall back on.

When I spoke with Lenny over the summer, he vowed to up his blog count, so hopefully we see him crack the top 20 sometime soon.
