THANK YOU: Over $55K Has Been Raised By Stoolies Honoring Fallen Temple Police Officer Chris Fitzgerald

NBC10 - Officer Christopher Fitzgerald, the Temple University police officer gunned down near campus over the weekend, left behind a wife and four children. He is being remembered as a loving father and "hero" public servant. Fitzgerald was killed during an altercation near North 17th Street and Montgomery Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday, Philadelphia officials said.

Everyone in and around the Delaware Valley are aware of the tragedy that occurred in North Philly almost a month ago. Chris Fitzgerald, a 31-year-old husband and father of 4, was brutally shot multiple times and killed on duty as a Temple Police Officer. A truly horrific and senseless crime. The NBC article said he just came back from his birthday vacation, was working overtime, and even planned to take his kids out Sunday morning for a pancake breakfast. Absolutely devastating.

Obviously nothing will ever make this shit make sense, but the least we could do is honor this hero and his sacrifice by helping his family any way possible. The $55K+ were raised by YOU through sales of T-shirts, crew necks, and hoodies at the Barstool Store featuring the Temple Police Union logo. One of his fellow officers has been in contact with us and said "Chris was very active in our union and loved being a TUPA member". The logo will carry his memory strong.

The apparel has been taken down and 100% of net proceeds will go towards supporting the fallen hero’s family. If you still wish to donate you can do so directly to the officer's GoFundMe page - HERE

RIP Officer Chris Fitzgerald.
