I Refuse To Believe Any Rumor That Implies Dan Snyder Won't Sell The Team

FOS - NFL owners have grown increasingly concerned over the pace of the Washington Commanders sale, fueled by reports that owner Dan Snyder won’t allow Amazon founder Jeff Bezos bid for the franchise.

Bezos, however, remains in the mix for the Commanders, two sources with knowledge of the situation told Front Office Sports. One of those sources said that news that Snyder wouldn’t sell to Bezos amounts to a ploy to get a high bid out of the Amazon founder.

There’s another option, and some have theorized could happen since the start: Snyder could decide to keep the team, something one source said has vexed some NFL owners.

But an effort to remove Snyder as owner — something that has never been done and requires 24 owners to approve — was shelved when Snyder announced he was exploring a sale of the team.

Nope, not doing it. Absolutely not doing this stuff. Dan Snyder is selling the team, that's the beginning and end of it. It's a process and it takes time. It's not like putting up an eBay auction and someone takes the Buy It Now option. Multi-billion dollar NFL team sales take a ton of time, and even more time when you're dealing with Dan Snyder.

And you know why it doesn't matter if Snyder chooses to be the world's biggest asshole and change his mind about selling? Because the other owners will force him to do it regardless. They will vote his ass out and he knows it. So not only am I not worried about him not selling, it would actually be sort of awesome. Sure he will try to blackmail the other owners with releasing their dirty laundry, but that would just make it even more awesome. It could be absolute chaos and anarchy, but the final result will still be Snyder no longer owning the team.

As for the Bezos stuff,

this stuff is more interesting in my opinion. Snyder HATES Bezos and could reject his bid. And that's where it gets fun because there is no way in hell the other NFL owners will allow Snyder to accept a lower bid than Bezos'. So Snyder might have to sell his team to his sworn enemy. It's fascinating and great theater.

But the idea Dan won't sell, nah. Not gonna hear it. He will not be the owner come next season. No way, no how.
