...

Every kid in the world who has ever once picked up a lacrosse stick has dreamed about winning the PLL Championship Series at some point. And sure, this may be the first year of the tournament's existence and it wasn't even announced until just a few months ago. But still. This is what you play the game for. The moments where all the hard work and dedication pay off, and you get a chance to delete some adult beverages with the fellas after bringing home a championship. And now the Chrome men are the first 12 dudes to ever have that dream become a reality.

Listen. If you're a lacrosse fan, I don't know how you could come out of this past week with anything besides positives. This was a new tournament featuring a new version of lacrosse. We can't act like this tournament turning into a complete and total mess wasn't at least a possibility. But aside from a few clock malfunctions here and there, the tournament delivered on all fronts. Mainly because the gameplay was insane. Especially in yesterday's final.

And if you're not a lacrosse fan, well this game had everything that would pull you in as a sports fan. The pace of play was electric. Back-and-forth action all game. Some sick goals, some big saves, a few guys just barreling their way through defenders.

I'm not saying this version of the sport is perfect, and I'm definitely not saying it should be the future of lacrosse. There are definitely still some tweaks that need to be made, and we talk about those in today's episode. But as far as an entertaining product in the middle of February goes for lacrosse? This tournament ruled. The fellas could have just treated this tournament the same way guys treat all-star games. But they battled their asses off and it showed. Definitely helps when there's a few extra thousand on the line.

12 players splitting up $120,000 for winning the tournament? It might not be Saudi golf money but that ain't bad for a week of work.
