The Atmosphere At American Baseball Games SUCK ASS Compared To Dominican Baseball Games

I've said this ad nauseam over the last 3-4 weeks: Dominican baseball is the best baseball there is. Maybe. Haven't seen Japanese baseball, Puerto Rican baseball, Venezuelan baseball, etc.

But then again I'm not sure I need to. The atmosphere at the Dominican World Series cannot possibly be beaten. It's certainly not by American baseball, that much I can say with confidence. At best, it's matched in certain situations like the blackout game. If you're a true baseball diehard, this is a trip you have to take at one point in your life. You can do it relatively cheap, too.

Oh - and all you need is a press pass. Getting credentialed for anything at all in the States sucks ass because of big bad Barstool. Not in the Dominican. They let us do literally ANYTHING. All we had to do is flash our press passes and say "prensa" and next thing ya know we're interviewing the starting pitcher on the field 2 mins before first pitch. it was incredible. Didn't bat an eye.

I love working with Donnie, by the way. I think what makes his content great goes beyond him just being funny as a whole. I think what makes his content great is he has a genuine curiosity about other cultures. He can assimilate with anyone or any group with ease and nothing at all makes him uncomfortable.

For instance, in 2-3 weeks you'll see the video of us hanging out in the most dangerous neighborhood of Santo Domingo. There were 4-5x where I looked at our producer Michael Angelo and said, "we need to gtfo of here right now this is getting shady" and I'd glance over at Donnie and he'd be having the time of his life doing whatever he was doing. The thought of being forced into a drug mule or kidnapped and trafficked never crossed his head.

Part I was just the precursor. The rest of the trip gets better and better and better.

PS - it wasn't just one HS class I took Spanish. It was 7th grade through my Sr. year of college. The only courses I needed to complete the degree was Spanish 322: Spanish For Professions and Spanish 490 which is a study abroad course. It was a declared major though, so I say I majored in it. Because I did. I just didn't complete the major. Ha! Regardless, If I took this trip like a decade ago the Spanish would have sounded much mildly better. I think. Prolly wouldn't have been as funny though
