NBC10 - Officer Christopher Fitzgerald, the Temple University police officer gunned down near campus over the weekend, left behind a wife and four children. He is being remembered as a loving father and "hero" public servant. Fitzgerald was killed during an altercation near North 17th Street and Montgomery Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday, Philadelphia officials said. .

By now I'm sure most around the Delaware Valley are aware of the tragedy that occurred in North Philly over the weekend. Chris Fitzgerald, a 31-year-old husband and father of 4, was brutally shot multiple times and killed on duty as a Temple Police Officer. A truly horrific and senseless crime. The NBC article said he just came back from his birthday vacation, was working overtime, and even planned to take his kids out Sunday morning for a pancake breakfast. Absolutely devastating.

Obviously nothing will ever make this shit make sense, but the least we all can do is honor this hero and his sacrifice by helping his family any way possible. T-shirts, crew necks, and hoodies are all on sale at the Barstool Store below featuring the Temple Police Union logo. One of his fellow officers has been in contact with us and said "Chris was very active in our union and loved being a TUPA member". This logo will carry his memory strong.

100% of net proceeds will go towards supporting the fallen hero’s family. You can also donate directly to the officer's GoFundMe page - HERE

RIP Officer Chris Fitzgerald.
