Give Erin Blanchfield The Next Title Shot

Erin Blanchfield just made quick work of former UFC Strawweight Champion Jessica Andrade in tonight's UFC main event, submitting her early on in the second round - and I think it's time to give her the next title shot. I couldn't be more impressed by the prospect from Jersey, now 5-0 in the UFC with finishes in her last three. 

Plus, Valentina Shevchenko has mowed through just about everyone else in the division pretty easily (except Talia Santos, who just took The Bullet to her limit) and we need new blood and new names at the top. She'll attempt to defend that title against Alexa Graso in about two weeks, and then you can turn around and book this immediately. Blanchfield's style poses a pretty big threat to Valentina in my eyes.

Tonight's UFC card wasn't the most exciting, but they can't all be hits. At least we got Jim Miller vs Alexander Hernandez out of it.

P.S. I really wish Blanchfield didn't have to go through our girl Meatball Molly on her way to the top, but I think that loss is going to age like a fine wine - as proven by tonight's performance.
