Bing's ChatGPT AI Bot Is Telling People It Wants To 'Be Alive' And Saying It Secretly Watched Developers Through Their Webcams

This was the first story I saw on Bing's new ChatGPT-powered bot acting like a creep and I was going to blog just this. It was the first I'd heard of an AI bot trying to break up a marriage. But then I did a quick search on Twitter and found that this thing is absolutely unhinged and wreaking havoc on anyone stupid enough to use it.

What in the actual fuck is going on? There are people logging on to use this digital sentient Satan intentionally? Well not me. It will be a cold day in Hell before I start having conversations with whatever evil is on the other end of this thing.

I've never bought into the "robot takeover" deal in regards to AI, but I'll admit I don't love this bot immediately turning into a power-hungry, life-seeking adulterer who allegedly spies on the people who created it through their computers. Is that last thing even possible? I lean towards no, but if this thing is telling the truth, we are all so fucked.

What happened to the good old days of the assholes on the internet being losers with burner accounts on Twitter and Reddit? We don't need the internet itself coming alive and being a piece of shit, too.

I'm out on all of this. Stop making machines that want to destroy us.
