WATCH: Did You Know Tetris Had To Be Smuggled Out Of The USSR?

The true story of the high-stakes legal battle to secure the intellectual property rights to Tetris.

I am all about this because this era of video games is such a massive blind spot in my rotting brain's databanks. I'm sure there are plenty of creative liberties taken, but you're telling me they had to smuggle Tetris out of the USSR as it was beginning to collapse? That Gorbachev has meeting with the distributor of Tetris??? I need to know more and I refuse to wiki any of it so that my moviegoing experience will be better.

This movie has a great cast lead by Taron Egerton who is so god damn good at everything. I will never forgive the oscars for giving that extremely mid movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' a trillion awards but not even nominating Egerton's 'Rocketman', which was superior in every single way, for anything other than original song. Don't forget, that movie WON best film editing.

Anyway, the backend of Tetris is also solid. It's directed by Jon S. Baird who did some good work in Vinyl, Babylon(the show) and Stand & Ollie. Its also produced by Matthew Vaughn, one of the minds behind "Kingsman: The Secret Service", 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, 'Snatch', 'Layer Cake', 'Kick-Ass' and more.

This movie drops on AppleTV+ on March 31st
