A Potential Disaster Has Been Avoided. Keith Hernandez Is Back In The SNY Booth

I hinted at this earlier this year that Keith was a free agent after SNY was dragging their feet to resign him. Mets fans like myself were in shambles if Keith wasn't going to be in the booth. 

If you aren't a Mets fan you are probably reading this baffled as to why a broadcaster matters so much. Trust me he does. First off, he is part of the best trio in the entire league, and meshes so well with Gary and Ron. Most years they are the only reason I watch The Mets. The broadcasts are insightful, funny, knowledgeable, and sometimes off the rails. That's much better than the team on the field which is mostly just bad. They have also been doing it forever. Breaking up the GKR trio would have been a disaster. Viewers especially sports fans don't like change. Lastly, now that the team is finally good Keith deserves to be there after all the years of suffering. 

I'm just glad SNY finally worked out a deal and kept a legend in the booth. Here's to more laughs in 2023.
