The SEC Has Implemented a 10 Run Mercy Rule in College Baseball.... Is This Little League?

The SEC has passed a new rule in conference play that a baseball game is over after seven innings if one team is leading by 10 or more runs. Is this Little League? What's next? Are teams going to start forfeiting in football when Georgia or Alabama is up by four TDs going into the 4th quarter of football games? The going to stop playing the final 10 minutes of basketball games when the lead is 20 points or more?

I HATE this rule. College baseball is the most unpredictable sport in the world. With the metal bats, tons of runs can be poured on in the blink of an eye. It happens literally all the time! Hell, I saw Ole Miss erase an eight run deficit against LSU in the 8th inning in 2021 and win on a walk off bomb in the 9th.There is an obsession in baseball to speed up the pace of the games. I get all that but sacrificing the end of SEC conference games is where I draw the line. In midweek games I get it..... but not in conference play!

College baseball is the most fun sport that you might not have bet on. We will have lines all season long on the Barstool Sportsbook!

The season starts in NINE short days......
