Kentucky Athletics Should Be Ashamed For Firing This Usher Who Gave Florida Fans The Middle Finger After Saturday's Win

It's rare that I'm pissed at Kentucky athletics. Sure, I might be disappointed. Sure, I might get mad at some dumb decisions or results. But for the first time in a long time I feel legit anger. Why? Because they completely embarrassed themselves with a simple decision. It doesn't even have anything to do with refusing to sell alcohol at sporting events like a million other places. It has to do with Doug.

Doug is a Blue Coat. Blue Coat is basically just the Kentucky way of saying ushers at Rupp Arena. They tend to be older, awesome guys and gals. They love to talk Kentucky hoops and live and die with the team. So Saturday night this went viral:

Just a classic finger to Florida fans. It's what helped make Stone Cold iconic. It's also part of 99% of college games. He shouldn't have to apologize for being caught in the moment. It was a big game. It was a big win. Hell, even Cal finally realized to just give the ball to Cason Wallace instead of Sahvir Wheeler late in the clock to win. Everyone was a little jazzed up. It didn't help that this was going on:

Since when do we just Florida fans invade Rupp like this? That's sad enough. But now you're firing a guy for a simple middle finger? I'm sorry he cares about the team. I'm sorry he's willing to fight for Kentucky. That's a guy I want on my side. That's a guy I want in my corner every single game. Getting people to their seats and then joining in on waving goodbye to opposing fans. It's college! It's supposed to be fun. He didn't hurt anyone with a middle finger.

Free Doug man! Let Doug give the finger to whatever fanbase he feels the need to. Give the man his blue coat back. Even Lance Ware knows!
