The Eagles Are Playing The Chiefs In The Super Bowl Which Is A Storyline Wet Dream For The Ages

So here's a little fun fact for all you boys and girls back home. Andy Reid is the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. But before he was the head coach of the Chiefs, he was actually the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons. He led the Eagles to 4 straight NFC Championship games and 1 Super Bowl appearance in those 13 years. And now here we are, a decade removed from when Andy Reid was let go by Philly, and he'll be coaching against them in Super Bowl LVII. Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?

Here's another little fun fact for all you boys and girls back home. Travis Kelce is a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. He plays tight end for the organization. He has a brother named Jason. Turns out that Jason Kelce actually plays center for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is playing in the Super Bowl against his brother in 2 weeks. Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? Pray for Donna Kelce. But lord knows that saint of a woman will be rooting for the Birds in Glendale.

Here's another little fun fact for all you boys and girls back home. Patrick Mahomes is a finalist for MVP of the National Football League this season. He is the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs. Turns out that the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, the other team playing in the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks, is Jalen Hurts. He is also a finalist for the MVP of the National Football League. So two of the 3 MVP finalists will be squaring off against one another in the big game. Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?

The fact of the matter is that the Eagles vs Chiefs will be one of the all-time storyline Super Bowls we've ever seen. For better or for worse. Without a doubt these are the best two teams in the league. And without a doubt this is the best possible matchup that football fans could ask for in the final game. But here's your fair warning that the next two weeks are going to become increasingly nauseating with the amount of storylines that get brought up heading into the game. A gift and a curse, I suppose.

But my personal favorite storyline entering the Super Bowl will be the fact that the Eagles have already avenged themselves against one coach from the 2004 Super Bowl after beating the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Time to fully exercise our demons by beating the piss out of Andy Reid in 2 weeks and finally put 2004 behind us for good. Time's yours. And if Philly looked like this tonight, I can only imagine what it looks like then.

Sidenote: I don't want to write an entire blog about it right now, but I'm just so happy for Eli Apple that he already won his Super Bowl last week. He really earned his week in Cancun.
