If You're In The Mood To Cry This Morning Read This Note Attached To A Dog That Arrived At A Shelter

"My name is Lilo. Please love me. My mom can't keep me and is homeless with two kids. She tried her best but can't get help. I cost too much for her. She really loves me and I'm a great dog and love to be loved on. Please don't abuse me."

This story punched me right in the tear ducts. Look at your dog right now. If you don't have a dog you can look at mine. Here is how he likes to lay as I blog in the morning before heading into the office

Imagine loving something so much that you feel compelled to give it away so it can have a better life than the one you can provide. That is the ultimate love and the ultimate sacrifice. I can't imagine being in that situation with George. I might die of a broken heart. This woman did her best, but then did what she thought was best for the dog and her children. My eyes feel swollen just thinking about it. And that is on top of the fact that what we have here is a single, homeless, mother of two small children. It feels like that should be impossible in our country. "Should" being the key word.

Thankfully, this story has a happy twist

Reunited and helping the family in need get resources so they can get back on their feet.
